The Chinese side expressed appreciation for the commitment of the EU principle of one China policy and reiterated its principled position on resolving the Taiwan question in accordance with fundamental principles peaceful reunification and one country two systems.
The leaders agreed, inter alia, to strengthen China-EU political dialogue and expand its scope. They agreed that it would be appropriate for China and the EU should conduct more in-depth consultations and exchanges of views at all levels, and more regular meetings between senior officials and experts on EU China and security issues affecting international and regional parties, including non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament.
